A team of scientists led by led by Guillem Anglada-Escudé and Paul Butler from the Carnegie Institution for Science in the U.S. has discovered a new “Super-Earth” planet. Snow Lizard Products recently revealed a new iPhone case that will make your Otter Box seem as wimpy as Super Mario in need of his mushroom fix. Dubbed the Aqua Tek S, they say its the first ever ruggedized, waterproof, solar powered, and battery-boosting iPhone 4/4S case. I have to admit, this thing does look pretty beefy. Read more...
I will never forget the day I got my first bicycle. I would go to the local department store with my mom whenever I had the chance just so I could stare at that beautiful Huffy and pretend I was riding through the neighborhood. One day it was finally mine, but it seems like just as soon as I took my first ride I outgrew it.
If kids these days are anything like my friends and I were as youngsters it's pretty safe assume they all want a bike of their own. However, no one wants to go out and buy a new bike every year or so -- that's where Grow bikes come in. These new bicycles make things a little easier (and cheaper) as their size can be adjusted as kids grow. Read more...

We've seen people build some pretty amazing stuff with LEGO, including detailed scenes from Mad Max and the locations of Middle Earth in their entirety. However, this robotic LEGO arm created by Max Shepherd, and built primarily with Technic pieces, takes the custom LEGO build in a completely different direction. Read more...

After the collapse of society, one of the first things to go will surely be knowing what time it is. We've become so reliant on our phone's clock that we'd be plunged into instant time-ignorance once the battery went dead. So what's a future zombie apocalypse survivor to do? Why, buy a watch of course! Luckily, Skybound and Vannen have teamed up to bring forth a wrist watch influenced by Image Comics' The Walking Dead! Yes, now you too can know what time it is when huddled in the corner of a remote cabin in the woods, playing with your Walking Dead action figures as a swarm of the undead do their damndest to get inside and eat your face!

Like it or not, the Internet music revolution is here to stay. I think I can safely speak for all the hard working staffers at MTV Geek when I say, "Thank Goodness." That’s why when we come across devices such as the Play:3 speaker system from Sonos, it makes our jobs that much more enjoyable to do. If you are not familiar with the Sonos brand of products, they were one of the first companies to bring internet connected sound to your home. Their latest creation, Play:3 are a sleek and affordable way to enter into the brave new world of internet connected wireless sound.
Measuring 5 by 10.6 by 6.3 inches and weighing 5.7 pounds, the Sonos Play:3 offers great sound in a package no bigger than a shoe box. The Play:3 comes in two colors, black and white, so it can blend into any room in your house or dorm. Behind the sleek mesh grills house two mid-range drivers, and a twitter that can really handle some nice highs and some pretty decent amount of volume. On the back of the device is a bass radiator which although not ground shattering, can let you know its there and ready to rock. Located at the top of the speaker are three control buttons: Volume up, volume down and a mute button, simple yet effective. Read more...

One of my favorite scenes in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek is when Kirk, Sulu and Olson “space jump” from Pike's shuttle down to the Romulan energy drill. Free falling from space through Earth's atmosphere seems like it would be a thrill-seekers dream and now Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner is actually going to give it a try. Read more...
