We were caught a little off-guard when Apple revealed the fourth-generation iPad so quickly after the third had shown up, but it doesn't look like they're slowing down any time soon. NASA produced (some may say brazenly) the above video that takes place tomorrow, December 22, 2012 laying out exactly why the world didn't end "yesterday" and how we've got all it wrong about the supposed Mayan Apocalypse.

Said Dr. John Carlson in the video:

The Mayan calendar did not end on December 21, 2012 and there were no Mayan prophecies fortelling the end of the world on that date.
