Remember that turbine powered Batmobile Putsch Racing put together? Of course you do its freakin’ amazing! Well, it appears they want to pass it on to a second lucky owner and have set up an eBay listing so anyone with enough extra dough can bring it home.

I’m pretty sure every geek on the planet would kill to own a turbine-powered Batmobile, but a ride this badass isn’t going to come cheap. The "Buy It Now" price is currently set at $620,000, but you can always make an offer if you have confidence in your checkbook. Read More...

Though the zeppelins of the past may have been a disaster, it looks like the airship might be making a comeback. British manufacturer Hybrid Air Vehicles plans on building a fleet of futuristic airships to supply remote areas of Canada’s Northern Territories.

The harsh terrain and limited vehicle access makes traveling to, and supplying, these areas quite a challenge. The proposed airships will use a mixture of non-flammable helium and air to stay afloat and their cushiony design would allow the airborne behemoths to land just about anywhere. Read More...

It happens everyday -- the TV remote is once again MIA and our teardown of the couch begins. Thankfully, Brookstone has a solution to the primetime scavenger hunt in the form of a Pillow Remote Control.

It looks and feels just like the pillows currently lining our favorite spot on the couch, but there’s one major difference -- a built-in 6-in-one universal remote control. TVs, stereos, cable boxes, Blu-ray players and any other home theater component will obey commands from the pillow, and with 500 remote control codes onboard setup should be a breeze. Read More...

After convincing several networks to offer $.99 television episode rentals last year, Apple quietly ditched iTunes TV show rentals all together last Friday. Now users will only have the option to purchase single episodes or a “season pass” for their favorite shows. Read More...

Wasted time spent scouring the office for an open outlet to charge your cellphone may soon be a thing of the past. Tom Krupenkin, a University of Wisconsin-Madison physicist, and university scientist J. Ashley Taylor have discovered a way to dramatically extend the life of cellphone batteries. The best part? According to a new report from Reuters scientists have discovered what appears to be a diamond planet. Sadly we won’t be able to get our grubby fingers on it anytime soon as it’s located some 4,000 light years away.

Apparently the alien planet, which is about 5 times the size of Earth, is far denser than any other planet we’ve ever discovered and is largely composed of carbon. The fact that it is so dense has led researchers to believe that the carbon must be in crystalline form, making a large portion of it diamond. Read More...

After co-founding Apple in 1976, getting pushed out in 1985 and coming back in 1996 to introduce the world to the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad, Steve Jobs has announced his resignation as Apple’s CEO. Tim Cook will take his place and Jobs will serve as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately.

The timing of the announcement may come as a surprise, but it’s no secret that Jobs has been dealing with health problems recently and even had to take time away from Apple to undergo surgery. A brief resignation letter published by Steve Jobs can be seen below. Read More...

Last week an image of a Starbucks “Pick of The Week” app popped up at CNET making us wonder what new plans Apple and the coffee chain had for the long-running program. Now, Starbucks has officially spilled the beans and we couldn’t be happier about the news.

Beginning Tuesday, August 23rd Starbucks will add not only apps to their Pick of The Week offering, but TV shows and “extended samples” of books from the iBookstore, in addition to the free music they’ve been handing out since 2008. Read More...

Energizer recently revealed a new all-in-one charging station built for those of us with a multitude of devices in need of some juice. Dubbed iSurge, the new outlet mounted charging station has a spot for all of our gadgets to charge at the same time and will be perfect for nights spent on the road.

The iSurge will turn one outlet into three surge protected outlets, but that’s only the beginning. It also features 2 USB ports capable of charging several devices including Apple’s iPad, a 30-pin dock connector on top for iPhone and iPod and a swivel mounted plug so we can get it into any available outlet. Anyone who has ever owned a Windows PC has probably logged hours upon hours playing the included Solitaire game and will surely recognize the scene pictured above. There's one major difference here though -- that's not a screen from the game, it’s a 3D sculpture created by a design duo known as Skrekkøgle.

The team used over 1,000 cards, which were pasted to a foam backing, to create this mesmerizing piece. To create the intersections between different streams of cards they had to do some serious planning and strategically cut the cards to make sure they lined up just right. I honestly don't think I would have the patience to pull something like this off, but I'm glad someone did. Read More...

I have good news and bad news. First the bad news - that guy (or gal) that bothers you to no end with constant finger drumming is about to get even more annoying. The good news -- if you obsessively finger drum on things all day it’s about to get even more entertaining!

A new app called TableDrum turns your finger drumming into real drum sounds. Just tap on the table, in the extremely bothersome way you do, and your iPhone or iPod Touch will play drum samples to match in real-time! It’s just like the numerous drum pad apps available now, but instead of tapping on the touchscreen to play a sample the app uses the microphone to listen for taps on the table. Read More...
