Remember last week when the internet broke in half thanks to the polarizing news of DC Comics' Before Watchmen? Well, now you can celebrate all those twitter-based tirades with a new line of statues from DC Direct! Toy Fair is only a few days away and we have some big news from DC Direct on both the Before Watchmen line AND a little film you might have heard of: "The Dark Knight Rises"! Hank Pym, for a smart guy you sure are dumb. Creating the Ultron A.I. has been a recurring nightmare for the Avengers in practically every incarnation with no end in sight. This has been culminating recently in Marvel Comics' Avengers storylines that claim Ultron will one day succeed in subjugating the Earth to his will, and now the evil robot can put the hurt on your action figure collection thanks to this latest release from Diamond Select Toys! This classic version of Ultron in their amazing Marvel Select line can be viewed as prequel figure to the, recently released, Disney Store-exclusive Avengers figures that included an arrow-filled Ultron as part of Hawkeye's and Black Widow's bases.

The pre-Toy Fair reveals roll on with the news that Diamond Select Toys will be releasing 2 waves of Minimates based on Marvel's upcoming The Avengers film that blasts it's way into theaters on May 4th! While the second enemy (Skrulls?) aren't shown; feast your eyes on tiny versions of Captain America, Iron Man, and the rest of the Avengers. DST has been killing it with their Minimates line and these look to further the addiction of collectors everywhere!

Remember that incredible Mega-Scale Lion-O from Mezco Toyz we premiered a while back? Mezco Toyz released two versions of the ThunderCats' fearless leader (one regular and an SDCC version with an alternate head and glowing eyes) in 2011. Well, it looks like he's scored both an archenemy AND an ally with two new releases in Mezco's ThunderCats line! Panthro and Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living are large and in charge-- but are still in the final phases of development. Luckily, MTV Geek and Mezco Toyz are bringing you an exclusive first look at the two new figures and the processes involved in creating them.

The Jay-Z quoting Superbowl spot for G.I. Joe: Retaliation didn't disappoint, and neither do Hasbro's upcoming line of action figures based on the film! While Toy Fair storms it's way into New York next week, the makers of A Real American Hero have released a number of hi-res photos from the initial lineup. As you can guess, there are figures of both Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Roadblock) and Snake-Eyes in the first wave. After yesterday's deluge of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy images, we thought it'd be a nice change of pace to add some videos-- oh, and some new pics! The videos spotlight the various lines, while the photos were taken throughout the TMNT showroom and give us closer looks at Shredder, April, Splinter, Krang, and the Foot Clan Soldiers from the new line from Playmates Toys. Honestly, we are incredibly excited for all of these new toys (3 toes and all) and the wait for Fall will be a long and harsh one.

The recycling of our childhood toys just keeps getting better and better! First, Masters of the Universe Classics rekindled our love of magical barbarians. Then, ThunderCats Classics brought Lion-O back into our lives. Now, some of the most cherished (and radical) heroes of our youth have been re-imagined with the release of Playmates Toys' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection! That's right, TMNT Classics! We were awash with nostalgia when first seeing these photos, and it has torn us up inside having to wait until now to share the Turtle Power with all of you in this first look! Playmates Toys, the company behind the vintage TMNT line, has taken the same looks from the 1988 TV show and perfected them by adding tons of articulation and joined that with the smooth sculpting of those original Heroes in a Half-Shell.

Shocker Toys: Champion of the Indie Action Figure or Devil in Disguise? It seems that the fan community is split on the subject and any discussion (or review as we’ve found out) becomes a spirited debate on everything from the badassery of The Maxx to missed release dates. We at MTV Geek! do our best to just look at the product, and so far we’re happy with the figures and the diverse lineup Shocker provides. Toynami has an exciting batch of action figures in stores and on the way for Bleach fans, and MTV Geek has the scoop:
* Figures of Ichigo and Byakuya have been recently re-released in an "encore edition". The first batch were sold out and fetching a high price on the secondary market, so Toynami wanted to give fans another chance to get them.
* The Renji and Toshiro action figures will be rereleased this Summer.
* And a new deluxe version of Ichigo is being sculpted now and ready in July.
