When eighth-grader McKenna Pope found her four year-old brother trying to cook tortillas over the lightbulb of his bedroom lamp she realized two things: one, her brother loves to cook, and two, he needs a safe way to practice his hobby. Thankfully, there's the Easy-Bake Oven which has been a safe and fun way to cook tiny cupcakes and cookies since 1963. Unfortunately for McKenna's brother, the Easy-Bake Oven is marketed exclusively to girls. So McKenna is taking Hasbro--who currently manufactures the Easy-Bake Oven--to task, petitioning the company to change the marketing and color scheme of the oven to reflect a gender-neutral toy.

So remember when Obi Wan cut Darth Maul in half and sent him sailing into the abyss? That was a cool right? Well those of you familiar with "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" know that Mauly survived and was outfitted with a pair of robot legs and is currently wreaking havoc on that far, far away galaxy.
