If all those on Olympus would deny me my vengeance, then all of Olympus will die.

That is the type of sweet nothings Kratos spews through gritted teeth in Playstation's God of War series of games. In fact, Kratos is quite possibly the angriest video game hero in existence. His never-ending grimace and hate-choked voice signify his desire for vengeance and/or an incredibly heinous case of hemorrhoids. C'mon, there's no way he's that tensed up all the time and still manages to keep regular bowel movements! But enough about Kratos' poop schedule and onto the subject at hand-- his new action figure from Square Enix' Play Arts Kai line! Long time readers of Geek will know that we're big fans of these figures with many a Metal Gear review under our belt. However, Kratos is a whole different monster demigod when compared to the sleek lines of a figure like Sneaking Suit Naked Snake.

Read on as we see if Kratos is worthy of the Toy Gods us, alone in a room full of plastic.

You might know high-end doll action-figure company Hot Toys from their hyper-realistic 1/6 scale "replicas" of such icons as the Christopher Reeve version of Superman. Well, the new "Dark Knight" Joker they've been teasing on their Facebook page as of late might blow all previous figures out of the water. Owning one of these babies will probably feel like having the Clown Prince Of Crime right in the room with you (pleasant dreams!):

Things sure are gonna be tough after San Diego Comic-Con International 2012. With our addiction love video games and action figures being put to the test, we'll probably be living on the street thanks to blowing all our hard-earned rent money at the show for things like these Black and White Play Arts Kai figures from Square Enix' Batman: Arkham Asylum line. Both Batman and the Joker will be available exclusively at the show. Both figures were previously released in regular game-accurate colors earlier this year, and we even reviewed Bats if you'd like some idea on just how incredible these toys really are.

Read on for more photos and info on how to get these two if you aren't able to attend the show!

Link has been one of video games' greatest heroes ever since he first picked up a shield in defense of the enchanting Zelda all those years ago on the original NES. Surprisingly, the pointy-eared savior of Hyrule has had very few figures (and even fewer good ones) featuring his likeness and oh-so-badass weaponry. Well, all that's about to change thanks to Max Factory and their incredibly popular line of Figma action figures! Like most incredible toys in the Figma/S.H. Figuarts/Revoltech vein, Link will clock in at around 5 1/2" tall, but will be sporting articulation and accessories (including extra faces) that would put most larger figures to shame. Read More...

"Man of Steel" photo via Licensing International Expo's Facebook page

A blockbuster superhero movie without tons of swag is like...well, they simply don't exist. Repeat after me: must have swag! And according to news out of the Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas, the upcoming "Man of Steel" will be no different (you can read all about the highly-anticipated movie's costume reveals at the show over at MTV Splashpage). Figures, sneakers, holiday ornaments, you name it -- it's all ripe for slapping an "S" logo on:

Action figures: DC's go-to toy company Mattel obviously takes the lead here, with a collectible "Movie Masters" series on the way, plus playsets and, I would assume, mass-market children's toys. Jakks Pacific has been chosen to put out a separate line of "collectible figures." Read More...

With Sony Pictures' The Amazing Spider-Man headed to theaters on July 3rd, now's the perfect time for action figures based on the film! While Hasbro has released a number of various 3 3/4" figures, their 6" Wal-Mart exclusive line is yet to hit, so Diamond Select Toys is the only show in town for highly-articulated Spidery-goodness. Their Marvel Select line keeps getting better and the movie-based releases have been top notch. Today we're taking a look at both Spider-Man and the Lizard, and let's just see if these figures can do whatever a spider (and lizard) can!

We'll start things off with the bios from the back of their packages, that we already showed off here.

The characters this famous writer and director has been associated with have had action figures...so it's only fair that Joss Whedon finally get one of his own!

Entertainment Weekly provides the exclusive first look at the Joss Whedon action figure that will be packaged with Morgan Spurlock's documentary "Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope". To be fair, this isn't exactly an action figure...more like a figurine. But we'll take whatever Joss Whedon figures we can get!

Other Geek luminaries that will join Whedon as collectible figurines packaged with the DVD is Stan Lee, Harry Knowles, and Spurlock himself. An edition with both Whedon and Spurlock will be available at Toys R' Us stores July 10, and another package with all four figures will hit game stores.

While this figure is pretty cool, we're still holding out for a Marvel Legends-style Whedon with 28 points of articulation! Hasbro, make it so!
