Underground Toys may not have had to travel through time and space to bring Doctor Who to Toy Fair 2012, but they did pack way more toys, figures, and cool accessories on the inside of the booth than it might have seemed on the outside. To find out more, we chatted with Robyn Morgan, the Licensing Director of Underground Toys, and discovered that she’s just as excited about their plush toys as she is about their rubbish bins:
Toy Fair 2012: Underground Toys Dishes on The Doctor
That wasn’t the only cool little item we discovered at Toy Fair, though... From a squeezable Adipose, to - spoilers, sweetie - a baby River Song in an impossible astronaut action figure, Underground has all your Timelord needs covered. And not just the Eleventh Doctor, either, there’s plenty of classic toys, from Tom Baker, to David Tennant, and more: Read more...

ITEM! Gallifrey 23 Welcomes 3000 Who Fans
Turns out, there's a lot of Doctor Who fans! Or at least, enough to keep an unofficial con going, as well as the official one that's coming up in a few short months. Gallifrey One's "Network 23" sounds like it was a blast, with panels, games, and more. You can read a full report from an attendee, and check out a little more news from the Con below... Read more...
Six seasons and a movie is looking like a much better possibility, as NBC has finally set an official date for the return of Community: the much beloved sitcom will return to the TVs on March 15th, at 8pm!
The news came out first from creator Dan Harmon’s Twitter feed, where he said:
@DanHarmon: What you call 8:00, we call home. Community returns to Thursday nights on March 15th.
...Which is basically the equivalent of throwing a firecracker into the Internet. Twitter, Facebook, and other social media exploded with the news; though by far our favorite comment came from LOST creator Damon Lindelof:
@DamonLindelof: COMMUNITY is back at 8 on the 15th. I have a good feeling about those numbers.
Speaking of which, LOST went six seasons... Where’s the movie, Lindelof? WHERE’S THE MOVIE?
While this week’s episode of FRINGE wasn’t an all time classic like last week, an otherwise generic freak of the week was saved by several gut-punching emotional moments, and huge pay-offs we’ve been waiting for all season long. (Spoilers ahead!) Read more...

We’ve already brought you 10 board games that don’t exist, but what if you’re not a pasty-faced nerd who sits inside all day? Well, then you’ve probably never heard of these ten ridiculously geeky sports. But don’t worry, we’ll coach you on how to get out of your chair and play them - right now! But first read this list. Then get out of your chair:

10. Timmy Ball (From The Fairly Oddparents)
The hardest thing about playing this game from The Fairly Oddparents’ resident wish-maker? You have to be Timmy to win. The game involves taking a purple ball, and hitting your friends with it. Every time you hit one of your friends? You get a point. But, again, the only person that gets points is Timmy, so good luck with that.

9. Anbo-Jitsu (From Star Trek: The Next Generation)
Called the “evolution of martial arts” by Commander Riker, Anbo-Jitsu involves wearing protective armor, holding a staff, and wearing a helmet that effectively renders you blind. And then you fight. Come to think of it, I think they played this on the current season of Top Chef. No? No Venn diagram for that reference? Okay then. Read more...

A few years ago, Lucas Cruikshank began uploading videos on YouTube where he played his creation, Fred, a young, fast-talking and easily hysterical child. The web series was so popular that Nickelodeon released two movies — “Fred: The Movie” and “Fred: Night of the Living Fred” — with a third film on its way. Now Cruikshank is making the leap from online series to television, as Nickelodeon debuts “FRED: THE SHOW” this Monday, February 20 at 8 P.M.
“I came up with Fred basically because I was making a bunch of random videos when I was around the age of twelve,” said Cruikshank. “I had just gotten a camera for my birthday. I wanted to do a character about a little kid and his dysfunctional family and Fred came out.”
While he said he’d wanted to be in the movie industry as long as he can remember, he didn’t initially put those videos online in the hopes of using them as a career boost. “When I started on YouTube, no one talked about getting famous on the internet or getting discovered on YouTube. I didn’t even know it was a possibility.” Read more...

HBO sure knows how to keep us Game of Thrones fans happy. Yep, they're teasing us again, this time releasing a behind the scenes video that gives us a look at what its like to be an extra on the epic fantasy series. Can you even imagine how fun it would be to walk around all day, dressed as one of Stannis' soldiers? I have to admit, just thinking about it fills me with a rage of jealousy. Read more...

It only took two decades, but this Sunday, The Simpsons is finally reaching its groundbreaking 500th episode with "At Long Last, Leave." To commemorate the occasion, we spoke with one of the people instrumental to the success of the series Al Jean, who's worn several hats over the years behind-the-scenes at the show, but his most vital post has been as executive producer for a better part of the series' run.
Mr. Jean talked to MTV Geek by phone earlier this week about the show as cultural institution, keeping up with the times, and how Lady Gaga fits into the mix for the current season.

ITEM! Star Trek and Doctor Who Crossover!
In case you missed our report earlier this week, IDW Comics is presenting the first ever crossover between Doctor Who and Star Trek: The Next Generation! AHHHHHH!!! Okay, freak-out over, but if the Doctor doesn't ask the computer for "Jammie Dodgers: Hot," we're going to be very disappointed.
ITEM! Travel Back In Time To Valentine's Day
We're a day late and a dollar short on this one, but luckily we've got a TARDIS, and can travel back in time to give you this adorable Doctor Who themed Valentine's Day card from Tumblr user Last One To Sherlock Is a Sissy:
NAME DOUBLE! Matt Smith Proposes To Girlfriend
If your name is Matt Smith, and you love Doctor Who, where do you propose to your girlfriend? Why, the Doctor Who Experience in the UK, of course. Luckily, this Matt Smith had help from another Matt Smith - namely, the eleventh Doctor, who pre-taped a message to the lucky couple, congratulating them on their impending nuptials. We're slightly more weirded out that the bride-to-be has red hair like Amy Pond. Amy marrying her step-son? Creepy.
DEAD PARROT! John Cleese Visits Doctor Who
The title says it all, but the Minister of Silly Walks himself visited the set of Doctor Who back in the day, and got an autograph from Tom Baker. All this needed was Benny Hill showing up, and we'd have the most British video of all time:
