Ok so as many of you may know, I'm not necessarily the biggest football fanatic. I mean I'm originally from Los Angeles and they haven't had a team in years! I had to dodge several Superbowl party invites and ended up at a local bar with some friends, drinking wine and watching the game. I played Words With Friends during the game and eagerly awaited the commercials. Remember last year when there was that amazing VW commercial with the kid Darth Vader? And once again, thanks to Lucasfilm and Volkswagen, I was NOT disappointed! Step aside, Madonna!

Ok, I mean how FRAKKING cute is that dog in the latest commercial? And shame on that owner for letting that sweet precious angel get overweight like that in the first place!

This commercial made the game for me and how real is that cantina scene??? LOVE IT.

Ok and now I'm super pumped for Phantom Menace 3D coming out this Friday!!! woo hoo!

MTV Geek's favorite Star Wars author Dan Wallace is coming out with yet another book, "Book of Sith," on February 10th! The release coincides with the release of YOU-KNOW-WHAT 3D, right? I first met Dan at New York Comic Con 2010 when I interviewed him about his book "Jedi Path" and he's been my fave ever since! I saw Dan again at last year's NYCC and he gave us a sneak peak demo of "Book of Sith" and this book is equally cool! Dan even took time out of his busy day to give me a quick Sith lesson.

Almost Happy New Year everyone! Hope your holidays have been fantastic! So just in case you need some belated gifts for fellow Jedis or maybe even yourself, I stumbled across these FANTASTIC-O vintage Kenner Star Wars notebooks on Etsy! Read More...

Ninja: Star Wars Ewoks

Just in time for the holidays, Spoke Art just released more prints from artist and illustrator Steve Bialik, his "Ninja: Star Wars" series! It's a beautiful and funny mash up of traditional Japanese art and Star Wars of course! The first set was released last summer and quickly sold out!

Ninja: Star Wars "Invasion of the Death Palace"

Ninja: Star Wars "Akuma"

Ninja: Star Wars "Spacewalker"

My personal fave? The Ewoks! I mean how cute and angry looking are they??? Prints will sell out fast, so don't wait too long!!

So thanks to the lovely world of Twitter, I stumbled across this amazing design site call Society6.com. And while perusing this site during working hours, for research purposes OBVIOUSLY, I came across Chris McVeigh, aka powerpig. Chris is an illustrator, photographer, author, and a regular contributor for MacWorld, living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I was lucky enough to get a Q+A with this talented Halifaxian, and you must check out his work!!

LW - Ok, how did you start off with your Star Wars lego photos? What inspired you?

CM - Around about the time I purchased my first DSLR, I got a Flickr account and started uploading photos. I seemed to gather an audience rather quickly, and I was always looking for new things to post to entertain people. Eventually that taking pictures of toys and chipmunks, usually somehow related to Star Wars. I wasn't really inspired by anything -- I was just doing whatever I thought might be comical. Last week Glee's Matthew Morrison was on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show and talked about the Glee Holiday special. He surprised us all by telling us it would be a "Throw back and a tribute to the Star Wars Holiday Special and the Judy Garland Christmas Special." This definitely sparked my imagination, and I'm sure you'd all agree. How can one possibly top the unparelled genius of the Star Wars Holiday Special? This is going to be quite a feat, and I'm so Glee-ger to watch and learn! Read More...

Happy December Clone Wars fans! Hope you're not stressing out too much about what gifts to buy this Holiday season! Have I told you all my favorite Star Wars joke??? What did Darth Vader say to Luke on Christmas Day? "Luke, I felt your presents!" CLICK HERE FOR WOODSY LAUGH Ok, I thought that was funny. Anyway, back to this week's Clone Wars episode "Slaves Of The Republic."

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! So before we all leave town to spend time with the fam, eat, drink and watch TV on the couch all weekend, I wanted to share the latest Clone Wars clips for this Friday's new episode!

Here's a quick synopsis: Read More...

Ok so once again, it's that time year, time to sit down, relax with a bowl of popcorn and watch the Star Wars Holiday Special, OH YEAH! And while you're watching this painfully long, I mean EXHILARATING piece of art, you may have some down time to do some Internets shopping. And well, Woodsy has her favorite Star Wars items this year for you all to consider!!

1. PLUSH CHEWIE!! The big one! I fell in love with this 24" furry creature last February at the Toy Fair in NYC!! You can get it at www.thinkgeek.com. NO, GET IT.

2. Hasbro's Darth Vader Ultimate FX Lightsaber. I wore this out Halloween weekend when I was classic Leia in the snow storm and it was awesome! It has really genuine lightsaber sound effects and the red is spot on. I thought I was the perfect Princess Leia ever until some punk kid's mother called me out, accusing me of having the wrong colored saber. I could only feel sorry for this kid for having such a critical mom. Get this at Hasbro.com. Read More...
