So I'm sitting here at the Clone Wars San Diego Comic-Con panel, post-MTV Geek video interviews with Dave Filoni, Joel Aron, Dee Bradley Baker and Ashley Eckstein and on a HUGE CLONE WARS HIGH!!! I even got to sneak into the Clone Wars panel with the crew and I'm sitting next to the vfx supervisor Joel Aron, someone I've known for 18 years from our ILM days together! BEST DAY EVAH!!

I just attended The Clone Wars Season 4 Preview Panel at San Diego's Comic Con was moderated by Lucasfilm's Pablo Hidalgo with supervising director Dave Filoni and producer Cary Silver.

I don't know if you've ever seen Dave talk, but he's incredibly charismatic and the crowd loves him! Dave just did his best Captain Ackbar "It's a trap!" impression and the crowd went crazy!

So if you are as big a Clone Wars fan as I am, you CERTAINLY know who the incredible Ashley Eckstein is! Not only does she play the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: Clone Wars, but Ashley also created her own line of fangirl merchandise last year called Her Universe. Ashley saw the need for sci-fi gear that wasn't just made for boys. I bought her Star Wars hoodie and practically sleep in it every night!!

If you're going to be at San Diego's Comic Con next week, you'll be able to check out Ashley and HER UNIVERSE as they premiere it's all-new SyFy branded line, including merchandise from Battlestar Galactica, Warehouse 13 and "Syfy's Original Movies." I am also a HUGE Battlestar Galactica and cannot wait to get my hot little hands on her stuff!!! Included in the launch are shirts, a sweatshirt and jewelry “designed in part by women for women,” which will also be available online.

“I am so excited to be partnering with Syfy as they are a television destination for millions of fangirls,” said Ashley Eckstein. “As women, we are passionate about our favorite shows and characters and we want to show off that passion by the items we wear. Now, just like Star Wars, all of the female Syfy fans will have some feminine and fashionable pieces made just for them.”

HER UNIVERSE is also offering two popular Star Wars designs in children’s sizes for younger fangirls too! Ashley knows how to take care of us girls!!!

Also don't miss the HER UNIVERSE-sponsored special panel at Comic-Con featuring a group of distinguished panelists from film, television, comics and publishing. This year’s topic, “What Women Want in Their Sci-Fi Heroes,” is hosted by Eckstein and is scheduled for Thursday, July 21st from 6pm to 7pm in room 25ABC.

Come find WOODSY if you're gonna be there!!

Happy Fourth of July weekend everyone! I'm pretty sure I'm the only one working at MTV today, but alas, it gives me time to tell you all about my new C-3P0 backpack I recently got from Think Geek! This backpack is so fun and amazing, I can't even begin to tell you!!

Last week, C-3P0 and I had the chance to spend a splendid day together -- working, shopping, and hanging out in Times Square!! What I love about this backpack, besides the fact that everyone gets a HUGE SMILE when they see you wearing it on the street, is that it's not just a prop, C-3P0 unzips and acts as a backpack itself...NO JOKE!! C-3P0's limbs are attached by velcro so you can assemble or rip him apart as needed. His eyes light up too, adding to the authenticity of it all!! I couldn't help but imagine myself as Chewie, running through the white hallways of Bespin City, dodging Stormtropper laserbeams as I rush to the Millenium Falcon...I mean, you would too, RIGHT??? Hello friends!! Well guess what I did last weekend? I flew home to Los Angeles and took my mom, sister and friend Gemma to Star Wars In Concert at the Hollywood Bowl!!! A dear friend of mine, who wishes to be referred to as "Han" scored me FOUR VIP box seats to this spectacular galactic event! Was the Force with me or what??? Now I cannot tell a lie -- this wasn't my first time seeing SWIC! My friend Stefanie and I went 2 years ago out in Long Island. I had no idea what to really expect and we were both blown away, sometimes with tears of joy streaming our faces!! No, I'm serious, it wasn't just the sour tarts!!! Read More...

Happy Friday all you Star Wars Fans!! So even though it's a gloomy day in NYC, it's always sunny in Star Wars Land! First off, today is the reopening of Star Tours at Disney Hollywood Studios, HOLLA!!! I'm watching the live stream of the reopening with our pal GWL right now!!!

Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Oshaka in The Clone Wars and the brains behind Her Universe, will be premiering two new shirt designs at this year’s Star Wars Weekends event. Featuring images of Jedi Master Yoda and other famous characters from the beloved Star Wars Saga, both designs will be offered in female sizes with female fits – and, for the first time ever, two popular Her Universe designs will also be available in children’s sizes. The new designs will be available exclusively for a limited time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during Star Wars Weekends 2011.

But now even though this isn't Star Wars-related, Her Universe has just partnered with the Syfy Channel to bring us lady fans even more cool merchandise!! The premiere launch items, which will include clothing and jewelry, will be available at genre conventions this summer, with San Diego’s Comic Con being the first venue where fans will have the opportunity to purchase select pieces, including a convention “exclusive,” from the collection starting July 20 and running through July 24. Additionally, the items will be available at both Syfy.com and Heruniverseshop.com.

The Syfy Gear/Her Universe collection include original designs that reflect Syfy’s commitment to engaging the imagination, as well as show-specific merchandise from hit Syfy series such as Battlestar Galactica and Warehouse 13.

OK, I power netflixed through the entire series of Battlestar Galactica last November in about 3 weeks. I had no life, I lost some friends, but MAN OH MAN is that series so good! And I can never decide between hotties Helo and Apollo, HELLO!?!! And of course I have the typical girl crush on Starbuck, HOW CAN YOU NOT??

Can't wait to see the new merchandise available this summer, I will def. need to turbo on my Spring cleaning to make some room in my closet!

I recently got the Hasbro Deluxe AT+AT from Think Geek. I was waiting for the right moment to bust it out and build it with my design team. On the box, it said ages 4 and up, I felt that we were ready. I felt that we had matured. The box, enticing in itself, sat on my desk as many passersby commented on it. I’m telling you this, nothing brings people together more than a new Star Wars item in Woodsy’s cube. Ever since Plush Chewie came into my life, my cube and friends haven’t been the same.

Our MTV and Vh1 design team has a weekly meeting to talk about design, inspirations and to just get some quality time together. So I decided that we would do some team building and build my new AT+AT. I mean, why not, RIGHT???

I knew I was in good hands with my designers. It seemed like such a lonely task for one person, but with the team, we were having an AT-AT party! People came by, chatted, laughed, played, and builded...is that even a word?? Read More...

OK, so I was first introduced to Plush Chewie at the NY Toy Fair last February. I found him while meandering aimlessly in the isles until I stumbled upon the Underground Toys booth! He was like a beacon. I was taken immediately. I couldn’t take my eyes off this scrumptious furry muffin of love. Please see video here:

Toy Fair 2011: Robyn Morgan On Underground Toys Star Wars Plushies

Seriously, I haven’t been that excited about a stuffed animal since my dad got me Barney, a stuffed Koala bear I got when I was around ten years old for Valentine’s Day. I loved that damn bear. Anyway, Plush Chewie came to me just a couple of weeks ago, thank you to Think Geek and Underground Toys, and everyone here at MTV.com and VH1.com hasn’t been the same since. Plush Chewie is definitely making his rounds on the floor and cheers up any mundane meeting. I’ve had multiple Chewie kidnappings, some with ransom notes AND pics, and he’s been dressed up with a Burger King crown with Hawaiian leis. My dear friend and coworker Michael Armstrong, has shown the most love and affection for Plush Chewie and I’m thinking of giving him joint custody and weekend visits. And now that I think of it, Plush Chewie does remind me a little of Teddy from the movie A.I. He’s not just a plushie, he’s like a creature! Here we are gazing into Times Square: Read More...

Ok so with the season finale of Clone Wars, I have some extra time on my hands and thought I'd write a little poem for the fabulous Mr. Steve Sansweet:

Goodbye Steve Sansweet
You will for sure be missed
And even though we didn’t meet
We wish you the best in galactical bliss

You took a converted chicken barn
And transformed it into Ranch Obi-Wan
You filled it with Star Wars collectible charm
Snapped your fingers and said “this property is done and done!”

You came on board at Lucasfilm in 1996
You met, you shook, you related, you wrote
you got worldwide Star Wars fan to mix
And authored 14 Star Wars books, to note

Now friend, the time has come for change
And MTV Geek thought wouldn’t it be nif
To send you off into the sunset range
With a little poem and a personal gif!
