OK this one's for all you ladies out there, oh and you geek guys that need something for your fabulous fangirl!!  The lovely Ashley Eckstein, actress and voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is hoping to change the perception that science fiction and fantasy is not just for the boys.

Ashley, along with her partner Araca Group, formed the company Her Universe, to create merchandise for lady sci-fi fans!  And guess who their first gig is with??  You got it, Lucasfilm baby!

The Star Wars Collection from Her Universe has t-shirts, hats, jewelry and hoodies and well-designed and sized for chicks!  At first, I was a bit skeptical, thinking "how much more Star Wars merchandise do we need in the galaxy?" But once I saw Ashley's stuff at the Her Universe booth at both Star Wars Celebration V and the last New York Comicon I realized why!

Check out this super cool Boba Fett underwear set, it's just like the underoos collection from the olden days:

Imagine if you will Woodsy's closet, full of all things silver lamé, Diane Von Furstenburg and Star Wars.  Now I've been collecting Star Wars apparel for a "few" years now and I have quite the collection.  I even have a Revenge of the Jedi t-shirt from my ILM days which is my pride and joy.  However, all my t-shirts are sized for DUDES and therefore could be cinched with a belt and worn as a dress. WHAT THE FRENCH, TOAST?? Ok people, I think the geekgirl community has made it quite clear that sci-fi ain't just for dudes anymore!!

I'll give you an example.  If you'll take a gander on the below image, you'll see on the left a black Darth Vader hoodie.  My sister was super stoked to give it to me 2 Christmases ago and it was such a thoughtful gift.  It's lined and has rhinestones and is super comfy.  The problem?  Even though it's a "small" it is still WAY TOO BIG and I hardly ever wear it.  Shhhh don't tell her, she'd kill me.  But if you take a look at Ashley's Her Universe Star Wars Hoodie on the right, you'll undoubtedly see it fits me like a glove. CHA-CHING!!

You can check out Ashley's line here at www.heruniverse.com. Ashley's company has also announced a deal to create a Syfy-branded collection.  What the Frak???  Battlestar Galactica??? Oh yes, "God has a plan."

My one request from Ashley is a female stormtrooper costume for curvy chicks.  Can I send you my measurements?  Then I can die happily...

Well hello there my fellow Clone Wars fans!  This Friday Cartoon Network is airing the final chapter of the three-part Clone Wars arc! Sent to track down the mysterious figure behind the deaths of several Jedi, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi find themselves on the trail of Count Dooku’s newest apprentice – the monstrous Savage Opress. However, Dooku and Asajj Ventress discover that their creation has a will of his own, and that he has grown more powerful than either of them had anticipated – perhaps even more powerful than the combined forces of the Jedi and the Sith.

Driven by the Machiavellian machinations of Count Dooku, the series’ various villains come face to face at last in a climactic clash of red sabers. Dooku, Opress and Ventress – all are manifestations of evil, yet each is so distinct. It’s not until these three titans are brought together in the heat of conflict, however, that their nuances and differences become truly clear.

I recently had the pleasure of hanging out w/my new West Coast Bff Bonnie Burton - Sr. Editor at Starwars.com and awesome chick!  Step aside Carrie Fisher, there's a new sheriff in town!!

Q - How did you land your awesome gig at Lucasfilm?

As unbelievable as this sounds, I answered an ad on Craig's List! I had been a geek girl all my life but never in a zillion years did I think I would be working for The Maker himself. I almost didn't go to the job interview because I didn't think I'd get the gig. But I couldn't pass up a visit to Lucasfilm HQ. So I went and ended up getting the job! Seven years later, I'm still in shock. I think they were looking for someone who represented a more mainstream, geek girl sensibility and I fit the bill.

I worked in the dotcom industry as an entertainment & kids editor for eWorld, @Home Network, Excite, and AOL, as well as writing freelance for everything from Wired to Bust magazine. My site Grrl.com also has plenty of geektastic content including my vlog "Ask Bonnie" where I'd answer questions about everything from ghost hunting tips to Japanese candy reviews. Either way, I'm grateful every day to have a job where I can write about Wookiees and create content for three generations of fans worldwide.

Attention Clone Wars fans!  An all-new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars airs this Friday on the Cartoon Network at 8:30 PT/ET.  In this episode, Count Dooku visits the witches of Dathomir, seeking to replace Asajj Ventress with a new, deadlier apprentice. Little does he know that his new protégée – the formidable Savage Opress – has been selected by Ventress herself, and that the Nightsisters have used their witchcraft to transform the warrior into a monstrous killer without remorse, compassion or loyalty.

“I've really fallen for Ventress, and here the audience gets to learn a lot about her history. She's an extremely complicated character,” says Katie Lucas, writer of the three-part Nightsisters arc. “She’s a cold-hearted harpy, but she has good reason to be – and now she’s displaying a much more independent side of herself. Ventress is nobody's pawn anymore. She finally owns herself. I grew up on Buffy and Tank Girl, so writing for strong females is second nature to me. I listened to a lot of early Hole and The Distillers albums to inspire me while writing these stories; I really wanted to tap into that visceral female rage, and Courtney Love’s snarl certainly tears that right out of you.” Read More...

OK fans, did I not just list this announcement as one of my TOP TEN from 2010?  After you're done doing kartwheels down the hallway, catch your breathe and read this!  At 11:30 am PT today coming from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vega$, Lucasfilm announced the official release of the Blu-ray set coming to a galaxy not too fary away this September 2011! Winning big - woo hoo! Read More...

Happy New Year everybody!  Thought we'd take a quick look back on my year in Star Wars for 2010.  Believe me, there is a lot I'm leaving out but I felt these were truly the highlights of this past galactic year!

1. I saw Wishful Drinking for the last time on Broadway, and this is when my title of Official Carrie Fisher cute stalker kicked into gear, for better AND for worse.

2. Adidas came out with an Originals Star Wars collection! I got the LAST pair of micropacers at the NYC Soho store! There were stormtroopers and Darth Vader in Times Square!

Well Happy New Year to all you Star Wars/Clone Wars fans!  In case you missed out on the special Clone Wars screenings last month, here's your chance to see these all new episodes again! We've got a couple of clips to share too just to give you that extra tease...

Asajj Ventress returns to Dathomir, a place she once called home, in “Nightsisters."  The first of a three-part story arc, “Nightsisters” pulls back the curtain to reveal bitter rivalries, seething resentments, shattered alliances and more – including the revelation of a dark sorcery as mystical and powerful as the Force itself. Wielded by the witches of far-off Dathomir, this sinister magic poses a threat to both the Jedi and the Sith, and a challenge to the delicate balance of the Force.

Check out an awesome clip here of Ben and Obi-Wan fighting with Ventress:

Happy holidays Star Wars fans! Well, since tis the season I feel it’s only fair to mention the Star Wars Holiday Special. It originally aired on CBS on November 17th, 1978 and ran 120 minutes. All the main actors except Alec Guinness were in it. George wrote the story for the special but had to go back to work on Empire Strikes Back so he had no more involvement. Here’s the tagline I took from IMDB “Luke Skywalker and Han Solo battle evil Imperial forces to help Chewbacca reach his imperiled family on the Wookiee planet - in time for Life Day, their most important day of the year!”

Ok, how many of you have seen it from start to end? How many own it? I caved and bought myself a bootleg copy. I had friends over to watch it and we came up with a drinking game to make it a smoother watch, but sadly the alcohol did not help out and we were pained to the end. Why George why?

To his defense, George reportedly said at an Australian fan convention, "If I had the time and a sledgehammer, I would track down every copy of that show and smash it." I personally heard Carrie Fisher tell an audience that she puts on the Star Wars Holiday Special when she’s having a party and she wants people to leave. Ouch. So the team here at MTV Geek has helped me come up with 8 ideas that could have happened had George been less involved in all of Star Wars! Read More...

I went to the Lucasfilm Holiday party! I got drunk, I slurred, I said inappropriate things to people and was poured into a taxi at the end of the night. Basically I haven’t changed a bit since the last time I went.

This year’s party theme was Celebrations Around The World and just as always, the party did not disappoint. My dear friend Kimberly took me as her date! We entered the San Francisco Concourse Pavilion to a Brazilian Carnivale band dancing and playing drums as I was given a handful of green carnivale necklaces. I’m not gonna lie, I had already been to a couple of “pre-parties” so by the time I arrived, I was more than ready to rock it with my hot silver-lame halter top. I saw old friends and it was so great to catch up with them. I hung out quite a bit in the beer garden and was served huge beers in beer steins which I felt compelled to finish. Oh my. Read More...

Guess what I did last Tuesday night?  I went to the Star Wars: Clone Wars Screening in New York City!  Even though it was colder than the Hoth System outside, the theatre was warmly filled with Star Wars fans of all ages!  There were Clone Wars costumed characters to take your photo with, which I did because I’m a sucker for a man in a uniform. I had to push some twelve year olds out of the way but I did finally get my photo op! Fellow MTV Geeker Bradley Hatfield came along for the epic ride as we slid down into our comfy seats, plopped our sodas and popcorn down in our laps, and watched the show!

I was so excited, I felt like a kid. Anytime I get to watch ANYTHING Star Wars-related on the big screen I get butterflies in my stomach. Well, I take that back. Anything BUT the Star Wars Holiday Special, that is. Ooof. Before the screening some lovely gentlemen from Lucasfilm asked the crowd trivia questions and passed out great toys like the General Grievous spinning lightsaber. Lucky for me I already have one because I couldn’t keep up with the other kids in the house!  They knew everything and answered so quickly! “Noooooooooooooooooo!” (Darth Vader voice) Read More...

Star Wars fans that have a sense of humor! Stop, wait, don’t move, watch this now! Adult Swim just released the new Robot Chicken Star Wars Episode III clip! Airing Sunday Dec. 19th 2010 at 11:30!

R2 likes strip clubs?

Chewie gets lightsabered in half???

I saw Seth Green talking about the new series at the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando with George, and George loves this shiz! Read More...

Hey Clone Wars Fans! MTV Geek has 2 new clips for you guys to watch and they're both awesome!

"Pursuit of Peace" is an all-new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars - airing at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT this Friday, December 3 on Cartoon Network.

Padmé Amidala, Bail Organa and Onaconda Farr attempt to rally the senate against a bill that would appropriate funds for millions of new clone troops YIKES - with disastrous financial consequences for the Republic. Their opposition to the measure, however, makes them targets for attack, check out this great chase scene as Padmé seeks to evade the diminutive-but-deadly Robonino and kudos to Joel Aron, vfx supervisor!

I watched the ILM documentary Creating The Impossible, directed by Leslie Iwerks, last Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised. Having worked there I thought “what could I possibly learn from this?” Oh was I wrong.

George started ILM in 1975 in Van Nuys to create the special effects for Star Wars. John Dykstra was its first employee, along with talents like Lorne Peterson, Jon Berg, and Bill George. Lorne Peterson also wrote a great book called “Sculpting a Galaxy” which I highly recommend checking out!

George said “ILM was born out of the rebirth of the beginning of cinema...It’s all a trick and we’re the tricksters.” And to think that George only got 30-40% of what he really wanted out of Star Wars, way back in 1977! After the success of Star Wars George decided to move ILM up to San Rafael in Marin County, he wanted a film making center that was outside of Hollywood. Little factoid, did you know that Jodie Foster’s Egg Productions moved into ILM’s old Van Nuys building? Read More...

Ok Fan boys and girls, I took lots of care into putting this list together, enlisting the help of fellow Jedi along the way. Some of these I already have, and some I really want (GARDEN JAWA HINT HINT!)

May the Force be with you this Holiday Season as I gift you with this Jedi joke:

Q – What did Darth Vader say to Luke on Christmas?
A – “Luke, I felt your presents.”
