Up until now we've only been able to get DC Comics monthly "single" issues via the DC and comiXology apps. If you wanted DC content through the three major e-bookstores, all that was available were graphic novels. That's all changing. Like, right now.

According to the Source blog, all of DC's periodical comic books will be available through the Amazon Kindle Store, the Barnes and Noble NOOK, and Apple's iBookstore. Apple seemed pretty excited to show off their new Maps app (replacing Google's) that launched with iOS 6, but now that everyone's had a chance to get their hands on it, things are looking pretty sour. Not only are some well-known locations labeled completely wrong in the new app, some are entirely absent, while others have been duplicated or moved. We already knew iPhone 5 pre-orders were through the roof, but today Apple revealed some actual numbers. Turns out 2 million of the recently revealed phones were pre-ordered in the first 24 hours, double the amount of pre-orders the iPhone 4S saw last year.

This morning at 3:01 a.m. ET (12:01 a.m. PT) eager customers had the opportunity to get their iPhone 5 pre-orders in before the masses – or so they thought. Not only did the massive amount of people create a sort of online traffic jam, it turns out demand for Apple's latest handset was so huge that pre-order units have already sold out.

While the iPhone 5 reveal may have been the big news of the day, Apple also took time out of today's event in San Francisco to introduce new iPod Touch and iPod nano models. Both received some major upgrades, but the new iPod Touch was definitely the star of the show, getting a full range of color options, a new camera and much more.
