Yep, Peter Dinklage is Bolivar Trask in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Back when the "Game of Thrones" actor was first cast in the over-stuffed mutant sequel, we broke the news - from an anonymous but reliable source - that Dinklage was the creator of the Sentinels.

Then, when we talked to Dinklage on the Red Carpet at the Game of Thrones premiere, we asked him point blank about playing the character, though he deferred. And now, definitive-esque proof:

You saw speculation on MTV Splashpage about what villain 'Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage is playing in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ this morning… But thanks to a tipster who prefers to remain anonymous, but is extremely reliable, we can tentatively confirm: Dinklage is playing Bolivar Trask, inventor of the mutant hunting robot Sentinels in the movie sequel.

Which makes a lot of sense: there’s already been rumors of Sentinels in the movie, which this fits right in with; there are also Sentinels in the dystopian future of the comic book version of Days of Future Past; and most importantly, Dinklage, in this Variety article is called the “main antagonist,” not the villain. Why is that last part important?

For that little bit, we’ve got to go into who Bolivar Trask is in the comics: Read More...

The 2013 Golden Globes nominations were announced this morning and our good friends at HBO's "Game of Thrones" were left with ZERO mentions for the fantasy series. Despite both the show and Peter Dinklage being nominated last year -- with Dinklage winning for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for TV. Many fans believe the second season of "Thrones" was more successful than the first. And, pretty much everyone ever, thinks Dinklage -- who won an Emmy in 2011 --heartily deserves a nod for his fantastic portrayal as Tyrion Lannister.

Winter is coming, and while the men and women in HBO's "Game of Thrones" series freak out over it, our friends at Dark Horse are using that time to continue developing their line of collectibles based on the show. Slated for February is a statue based on Tyrion Lannister as he led the charge through the army of King Stannis, after *SPOILER* King Joffrey punked out and hid with his mommy in the safety of the castle. This statue looks incredibly detailed and show-accurate and I can't wait to see what the future holds for Dark Horse's "GoT" collectibles line. For now, check out the full shot of the statue, along with info about its creation and eventual release!

If you live anywhere near an 826 - a non-profit that supports writing and creativity for kids - you know how superb and ridiculous their events are. Well, 826NYC will trump themselves this weekend, as you can play Scrabble for Cheaters against Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage, The Daily Show's John Hodgman, and more.

Wait, Scrabble for Cheaters? Here's how it works: you sign up in teams of two, and raise money to pay for "cheat" blocks, like "Invent a Word," "Buy A Vowel," and "Create A Blank." You can then use them throughout the competition, to take down the celebs, who also include Jonathan Marc Sherman, and Michael Showalter. Best of all? All money raised goes directly to help out the free programs offered to New York City public school students by 826NYC. Read More...

WARNING: MINOR SPOILERS BELOW.

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

DON'T SAY WE DIDN'T TELL YOU.

Winter Came! Yesterday! Casting was announced a while ago but HBO has unloaded a pile of new photos and we got our first look at the new characters joining the show for the second season of Game of Thrones. Check out below Stannis Baratheon and his firey priestess, Melisdandre; The Onion Knight, Davos Seaworth and Westeros’ token hottie, Brienne of Tarth. Also included were new photos of your most hated characters like Sansa, Cersei and Bran. But there are also new images of Emmy winner Peter Dinklage as Tyrion, and Hodor! So that’s cool. We’re assuming that most of you are impatient nerds like us and have read ahead so you’re already familiar with these new characters but we’ll try to avoid any obvious spoilers where possible.  Everyone dies in the end of this season anyway so I don’t know why we even bother.
