With September come the first hints of autumn: school is back in session, the leaves are turning red and orange, and more importantly, there’s TV that needs a watchin’! Here’s MTV Geek’s round-up of the nerd-tastic programs you’ll be watching (and DVRing [and downloading]) this Fall:

Archer

Premieres On: Thursday, September 15th at 10:30pm on FX
Why We’re Geeked: FX’s ridiculously, laugh out loud hilarious spy spoof has only gotten funnier and more complex over the course of the past two seasons. Like Arrested Development set in the CIA – but way more violent – the show returns for a sadly brief three episode run, before delivering another thirteen episodes in January.

Beavis and Butt-Head

Premieres On: Thursday, October 27th at 10pm on MTV
Why We’re Geeked: Yes, corporate synergy, blah, blah, blah, but Beavis and Butt-Head is at the top of any TV list, not just animated. We’ve missed their sickering, their snark, and most of all, the Great Cornholio. The first few clips have shown that even though decades have passed, B&B haven’t gotten any more mature. Read More...

The Clone Wars Season 4 premieres NEXT Friday September 16th at 8pm on the Cartoon Network! MTV Geek was lucky enough to score an EXCLUSIVE CLIP to share with all our fellow geeks out there!

When the King of Mon Calamari is assassinated, talks break down between the Mon Cala and the Quarren, co-inhabitants of the world. To try and stop a civil war, the Republic sends in the Jedi but unbeknownst to them, the Quarren are already backed by the Separatists (lead by the shark-inspired Riff Tamson). Now the Jedi must protect Mon Cala's new leader, the young Prince Lee-Char, from the attack.

And here is our EXCLUSIVE CLIP "Water War:"

And just as another tease, here's another "Water War" clip:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (8 p.m. ET/PT) –In the first two episodes of this three-part story arc, the inhabitants of the watery world of Mon Calamari find themselves on the brink of a civil war. The Jedi soon realize they will need the help of a powerful and amphibious ally to stop the war and drive out the Separatist invaders.

The special, one-hour Season Four premiere event of Star Wars: The Clone Wars airs Friday, September 16, at 8 p.m. (et/pt).

I've been back from Comic-Con just one week and still haven't caught up on all my coverage! While at Comic-Con I was lucky enough to interview some of the fabulous crew from Star Wars: Clone Wars!! As you know, Season 4 is coming out this Fall and the Force was with me as I got to chat with Dave Filoni, Joel Aron, Ashley Eckstein and Dee Bradley Baker about what's next for Anakin, Ahsoka, and the Clones!

First up is Supervising Director, Dave Filoni. Dave's a totally awesome dude and I met him last year at Star Wars Celebration. He is super excited about the next season and talks about Anakin, genius animation of the show and what the fans can expect in the latest season. Oh and you also will find out if he lets me try on his signature cowboy hat!

Ok, so Joel Aron, the Visual Effects Supervisor has been a great friend to me for, gulp, 18 YEARS! We met while working at ILM together! Joel made the jump from live action to fully-animated series on The Clone Wars. He is just so talented and talked me about all the hard work that goes behind the scenes in creating the series and how passionate he is about it all - "cinematic, poetic and stunning" are the 3 words he uses to describe Season 4.

Her Universe: What Women Want in Their Female Sci-Fi Heroes— In the early days of sci-fi, female characters were the designated damsels in distress. Thankfully, today a new generation of creative minds are molding the strong, intelligent, and powerful female roles we see in some sci-fi films, TV shows, comics and other media. What are the differences between past sci-fi adventures with female characters and today's feminine heroes that women can really connect with? How do you create truly interesting and unique female characters in the sci-fi universe? How are they different from their male counterparts? Read More...

I even got to sneak into the Clone Wars panel with the crew and I'm sitting next to the vfx supervisor Joel Aron, someone I've known for 18 years from our ILM days together! BEST DAY EVAH!!

I just attended The Clone Wars Season 4 Preview Panel at San Diego's Comic Con was moderated by Lucasfilm's Pablo Hidalgo with supervising director Dave Filoni and producer Cary Silver.

So if you are as big a Clone Wars fan as I am, you CERTAINLY know who the incredible Ashley Eckstein is! Not only does she play the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: Clone Wars, but Ashley also created her own line of fangirl merchandise last year called Her Universe. Ashley saw the need for sci-fi gear that wasn't just made for boys. I bought her Star Wars hoodie and practically sleep in it every night!!

If you're going to be at San Diego's Comic Con next week, you'll be able to check out Ashley and HER UNIVERSE as they premiere it's all-new SyFy branded line, including merchandise from Battlestar Galactica, Warehouse 13 and "Syfy's Original Movies." I am also a HUGE Battlestar Galactica and cannot wait to get my hot little hands on her stuff!!! Included in the launch are shirts, a sweatshirt and jewelry “designed in part by women for women,” which will also be available online.

“I am so excited to be partnering with Syfy as they are a television destination for millions of fangirls,” said Ashley Eckstein. “As women, we are passionate about our favorite shows and characters and we want to show off that passion by the items we wear. Now, just like Star Wars, all of the female Syfy fans will have some feminine and fashionable pieces made just for them.”

HER UNIVERSE is also offering two popular Star Wars designs in children’s sizes for younger fangirls too! Ashley knows how to take care of us girls!!!

Also don't miss the HER UNIVERSE-sponsored special panel at Comic-Con featuring a group of distinguished panelists from film, television, comics and publishing. This year’s topic, “What Women Want in Their Sci-Fi Heroes,” is hosted by Eckstein and is scheduled for Thursday, July 21st from 6pm to 7pm in room 25ABC.

Come find WOODSY if you're gonna be there!!
