Before Toy Fair 2012 officially began, the Four Horsemen and Toy Tokyo started things in style with the second annual Toypocalypse show at TT Underground Gallery in New York City. The show titled "Futuretro" kicked off with an exclusive set of "Cosmic Creators" Outer Space Men with a special color-scheme by original O.S.M.-creator Mel Birnkrant, a print from Horsemen-collaborator Nathan Baertsch, and signatures from the Horsemen themselves along with Mr. Birnkrant! While we attended and had a helluva time, we also managed to snap a ton of photos so those of you that weren't able to attend could feel like you did-- minus the open bar.

We here at MTV Geek love lots of things. Two at the top of our list are "parties" and "toys". This year's Toypocalypse 2: Futuretro will surely top last year and takes place during the 2012 New York Toy Fair at the gallery of one of our favorite toy stores: Toy Tokyo!

It’s about to go down, people!  From October 8th through the 10th comic creators, media darlings, and thousands of fans shall converge on the Jacob K. Javits Center for the New York Comic Con!  Questions will be answered, announcements shall be made, and deals are to be had!  Today we're gonna be checking out but a few of the EXCLUSIVE toys that can be  snagged at the 2010 NYCC.

Let's start it off with something for fans of retro action figures and/or loyal subjects of The Four Horsemen:

The Outer Space Men have been making the rounds at other cons, but these bad boys are in a different color scheme than their SDCC brethren.  Being made of translucent plastic, they will definitely be a great set and will also make for some interesting additions to a Glyos collection.  The regular versions go on sale soon, but this will be your only chance to score these men... from outer space.  This is the Beta wave and they've been split into 2 sets that are a limited number of only 300 for each set. Here's the info on where to get 'em:

Astro-Nautilus & Inferno - $24.00

Action Figure Xpress - Booth #1977

Metamorpho & Xodiac - $24.00

Toy Tokyo - Booth #2871

For fans of breakfast, plush toys, demons, and all things awesome:

It’s the Devil Bacon Plush Toy from The World of Mr. Toast! Bow before his heart-clogging majesty!  Bacon has become the new black, this plushy pile o' grease will definitely be popular and sell-out fast cause there’s only 100 to satiate the crowd’s hunger. There is also a limit of 2 per customer, so that way no one is able to horde the evil all to themselves. What woman could resist his charms? None...well, perhaps a vegetarian. Anyway, here's the low-down on picking him up:

Devil Bacon (10 inch?) Plush Toy - $10.00

Mr. Toast - Booth #2385

For collectors of high-end dolls that are wearing fishnets:

Yep, The DC Universe's own resident magician, Zatanna makes her debut as a 16" Tonner Doll!  It looks as though Action Figure Xpress has scored yet another exclusive for the big show.  Zatanna looks magnificent and character-accurate all the way from the top of her hat to the tips of her coattails.  Just imagine her chanting,"Vrepemffosdnahruoypeek!".  With that in mind, you can purchase one of the only 300 made here:

DC Universe Zatanna Tonner Doll - $174.99

Action Figure Xpress – Booth #1977

To the lovers of Japanese anime, manga, and all things explodingly-awesome:

This is an exclusive figure of Kamen Rider Kuuga in his "Amazing Mighty" form.  He looks to be a pile of great articulation that’s mashed up with a terrific sculpt from the S.H. Figuarts line.  Regardless if you know anything about the source material, a great figure is a great figure.  There's only gonna be 500 of this guy to go around, so make your way to the booth listed below and grab him up.

S.H Figuarts Kamen Rider Kuuga - Price T.B.A.

Muteki Sales, LLC – Booth #2526

Last on this list, but certainly not least:

All you fans of mutants, hillbillies, and werewolves will think you've died and gone to (a very odd and seedy) heaven!  Cannonball, Wolfsbane, Karma, and Sunspot round out the four-pack of New Mutants Minimates by Diamond Select ToysAction Figure Xpress once again steals away another fantastic exclusive and is offering them up to you like a fatted calf. You know the drill:

Minimates New Mutants 4-Pack – Price T.B.A.

Action Figure Xpress - Booth #1977

This is just a small portion of the great exclusives you'll find at 2010's NYCC.  There are also Age of Apocalypse Minimates, metallic Gundam models, wicked dragon statues, and much more, including some sweet discounts on random Japanese import figures.  If you have the opportunity to make this year's New York Comic Con, you should probably go... wouldn't want to upset Devil Bacon, would we?
